Praise for our staff
The box making machines at Atlas Packaging are hard at work as staff at the North Devon manufacturing firm step up to help the UK’s supply chain during the Coronavirus crisis. Demand for medicine and food packaging have increased as people are staying at home and ordering online. There have been lots more requests for mail order and vegetable delivery boxes as well as Shelf Ready Packaging. To be able to respond to this the cardboard packaging company based in Barnstaple has carried out a full review of its operations to ensure that only the key workers involved in the production process are at the factory. Here’s Atlas Packaging’s Managing Director Jason Sharman.
“We have nothing but praise for the professionalism of all of our staff who have responded to this crisis in a safe yet industrious way. To help them work safely we’ve changed the way we run things here and have split production into separate teams as well as ensuring social distancing at all times including whilst operating the machinery. Staff are using hand sanitisers as an additional protection for the packaging and our delivery drivers are using systems for drop off that also avoid any potential contamination.”
