Thinner flute for a better print finish
Next Generation
Cost effective
Not all corrugated cardboard is the same. Next Generation board has all the performance properties and applications of a traditional B flute sheet of cardboard but condensed into a thinner flute profile. In this picture Next Generation B flute is noticeably thinner than the traditional B Flute below it.
This is a real win win as not only does it create an improved printing substrate because of the thinner flute profile, it also reduces costs throughout the entire supply chain. So, you have a better quality print for your packaging and more boxes can be put on the same pallet.
As a result, you’ve lowered your transportation and storage costs per unit in comparison to a traditional B fluted product.
Flexo printing
Thinner flute profile
Flexo printing is a cost effective way of really making an impact with your packaging. But one of the inherent issues of corrugated board is the uneven surface which is created by the fluting beneath the paper on top. One way to make the print finish as near perfect as possible is to use a thinner flute profile. As Next Generation B flute is thinner than a conventional B flute, a better quality of print can be achieved.
The strength of the board is also really impressive and isn’t affected by its smaller flute.
'The sustainable choice'
Next generation B flute board is the ideal solution for lots of businesses as our Sales Director, Mark Leverton, explains:
“At a time when costs are under close scrutiny, then a switch to NGB is a great way of reducing the price of a pallet. As the flute is thinner, then the boxes are smaller and over the size of a pallet that really adds up. So, you’ll get a high quality print on a box that’s just as strong but can also save you money. Our sheet board is also FSC chain of custody certified and is 100% recyclable for the end user too. Please ask our design team for a sample and we can show you the difference.”
