Smurfit Westrock Atlas sponsors Mission: Unbreakable in Aid of North Devon Hospice
Staff from Smurfit Westrock Atlas successfully completed the Mission: Unbreakable challenge recently, raising vital funds for North Devon Hospice.
The annual event, now a fixture in the region’s fundraising calendar, is organised by North Devon Hospice in partnership with 24 Commando Royal Engineers. The demanding 10km course is designed to test endurance, strength and teamwork, with more than 30 obstacles including mud crawls, water plunges, fire runs and steep climbs.
Representing Smurfit Westrock Atlas were Leah and Dan, who tackled the course with determination and resilience. Alongside hundreds of other participants, the pair negotiated each challenge and crossed the finish line to the applause of spectators and volunteers.
Speaking after the event, organisers highlighted the importance of Mission: Unbreakable to the hospice’s work in the local community. Funds raised will support patients and families affected by life-limiting illnesses, ensuring they continue to receive specialist care and support when it is needed most.
For Smurfit Westrock Atlas, participation in Mission: Unbreakable reflects the company’s wider commitment to North Devon Hospice. In addition to sponsoring this year’s event, our business provides ongoing practical support by supplying free packaging for the hospice eBay store, helping to reduce costs and maximise income from donated goods.
Simone Mace, Smurfit Westrock Atlas General Manager commented: “We are proud to support North Devon Hospice both through our sponsorship of Mission: Unbreakable and by providing packaging solutions for their fundraising activities. Leah and Dan did a fantastic job representing the company on such a challenging course, and we are delighted that their efforts contribute to such an important cause for our local community.”
The 2025 edition of Mission: Unbreakable has been hailed as one of the most successful to date, with more than £80,000 being raised on the day. North Devon Hospice has expressed its gratitude to all those involved, from entrants and sponsors to volunteers and spectators, for their role in making the event a resounding success.
