Shelf ready packaging / Retail ready packaging
Shelf ready packaging offers a cost-effective packaging for transit and product presentation. The retail ready packaging can be formed and sealed on the packaging line before being delivered to the retailer. Once at the retailer, the shelf ready package can be put on to the shelf, and thanks to die-cut perforations, the lid can be simply removed to create a presentation package with the minimum of fuss. These food and drink storage solutions save time, labour, material and money and look very eye-catching!
Shelf ready packaging is available with 0201-style folding flaps to be sealed with packing tape or as crash lock containers with a self-locking bottom section.
Atlas Packaging can design and manufacture Retail Ready Packaging with the direct specifications of the client which allows the branding and design of the product to be carried over onto the outer packaging to reflect the brand’s quality and image, enhance the product on the shelf and draw the consumer’s attention to the product.
Counter Display Units
Counter display units are specifically designed to be placed on retailer shelving and counter-tops, with the design specification of attracting the attention of the consumer whilst enhancing the appeal of the product contained. Counter display units can either be stocked with a product at the packaging line - and therefore also used as transit packaging - or they can be separate products which can be assembled at the point of sale. They are designed for prolonged life and for the end user to replenish from time to time.
Free Standing Display Units
In a similar role as counter display units, free standing display units are generally of a larger size and are constructed from corrugated cardboard and are normally provided to the retailer for assembly. Free standing display units feature voids to house products and other materials and products. Due to their size, they are perfect for adorning with advertising logos, branding and any advertising materials. They are also designed for a prolonged life and for the end user to replenish from time to time.
0201 Regular Containers
The regular corrugated containers are delivered flat, with simple folds at the top and bottom, which can be formed and sealed with packing tape or glued by in-house case erectors on the production line.
Regular 0201 containers are the most cost effective packaging solution because they are quick to manufacture, simple to form and offer sturdy packaging solution. They are delivered in pre-glued flat form with only minimal assembly required. If required, they can feature manufacturer and product information and branding through the use of up to four colour printing, silk screen printing or lithoprint techniques.
Glued Crash-Lock Containers
Glued crash-lock containers are delivered by Atlas Packaging in flat form and can be quickly and easily formed into a carton with little or no folding, meaning a large amount of cartons can be assembled quickly, reducing delay times and saving money. An extra benefit of crash lock containers is a reduced risk of RSI of the assembler due to the boxes requiring little or no folding. A very efficient method of packing.
Crash lock containers are designed in such a way that when the packaging is assembled, the bottom flaps will automatically lock together to create a secure and rigid bottom section of the container.
Presentation Packaging, Gift Packages and Carry Packs
Structural and Graphic designers at Atlas Packaging have produced a number of special packaging for products and companies who require presentation packaging and gift packs for products such as alcohol, spirits, biscuits and cheeses.
Coming in quick-assemble die cut form, presentation packaging can be easily assembled on the packing line with minimal effort and time. The packaging can be designed to require no gluing, with design features and structural integrity being responsible for keeping the box held together.
Printed with Flexo post print or silk screening techniques, presentation packaging is used to enhance and reinforce the branding of the product stored within. They are easy to assemble, offer protection for the product between manufacturer and retailer whilst providing a product for the consumer which can be used as a gift.
Fast Food Containers
Die cut glued carry packaging for takeaway foods can be designed and manufactured to offer a locking top and handle and are delivered in crash lock easy to assemble form. Takeaway food packaging offers a number of advantages such as strength for carrying, insulation for the food and the opportunity to print branding logos and information.
Unique Die Cut Containers
With four structural designers and two graphic designers, Atlas Packaging can design and manufacturer unique die cut containers for customers with specific requirements and bespoke designs. These containers and packaging solutions can be of various sizes or in order to meet the client’s specifications and are particularly suited to custom and unique box designs.
Case Study Carlsberg
Carlsberg required an alcoholic glass bottle packaging solution for a number of bottles of varying sizes within each box. To overcome this, a unique die cut container was designed at Atlas Packaging, providing storage for six or twelve spirits bottles, all of which were of different sizes. Using special internal folding supports, a crash lock container was designed and manufactured with the ability to store the varying sized spirits bottles for transportation and delivery.
